A Natural Material
Because perlite is a lightweight volcanic mineral, some fine particles may develop during handling and transport. Up to approximately 20% fines is completely normal and does not affect performance. For best results, lightly moisten the perlite before use to minimize dust.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why is there some fine dust in the bag?
Perlite is extremely lightweight. During shipping and handling, some particles naturally rub together and create fine material. This is completely normal and does not affect performance. Lightly moistening the perlite before use will minimize dust.
Can it be used by itself?
Yes. It is excellent for Alocasia corm propagation, stem cuttings, root recovery and tissue culture acclimation. For long-term plant growth, it is typically mixed with other premium substrates.
Can it be reused?
Yes. After use, rinse thoroughly and sterilize before reusing with new plants.
Is every bag exactly the same?
Perlite is a natural volcanic material, so slight variations in particle size and appearance are normal. Each bag is selected to maintain a consistently coarse grade suitable for premium growing mixes.
